Since 1965 West Valley Light Opera has been dedicated to providing good family, high quality, live-on-stage musicals at a reasonable cost to you. We greatly appreciate your loyalty and support over these years.
To maintain our high standards a typical production's budget currently averages $60,000 which covers licensing royalties, costume and set materials, theater rental, etcetera. As with many other non-profit performing arts organizations, we are experiencing continued rising expenses.
We depend on the help of many volunteers. Our performers and stage crew receive NO compensation whatsoever. They work and perform for you out of a love of theater. The Board of Directors also receives no compensation and we receive no financial support from the City of Saratoga or Santa Clara County. Ticket and subscription sales and your generous contributions are our principle source of income.
