Frank Abagnale, Jr.
Male: 20-30
Vocal: G2 - C5

The story's clever and resourceful protagonist, he is a handsome and youthful con artist. Grew up learning to disappear into another skin to avoid his problems. He eventually falls in love with Brenda and desperately tries to change his ways. *Must dance or move well.

Carl Hanratty
Male: 35-45
Vocal: G2 - G4

An FBI agent leading the investigation and search for Frank Jr. A knowledgeable and habitual workaholic who idolizes the moment he catches his perp. Lives a private life of loneliness.

Frank Abagnale, Sr.
Male: 45-65
Vocal: F2 - G#4

Frank Jr.'s father. Affluent fast-talking businessman and a role model for his son. But after a series of progressive failures and with his wife's departure, liquor becomes his downfall.

Paula Abagnale
Female: 45-60
Vocal: A3 - C5

Frank Jr.'s gorgeous mother. She met Frank Sr. in France, during the war, but has fallen out of love. She does care about her family but fosters an underlying resentment toward her husband and son.

Brenda Strong
Female: 20-30
Vocal: G3 - A5

A young nurse and Frank Jr.'s eventual love interest. Hard-working and initially insecure, she meets Frank Jr. after running away from a wedding. She comes to trust him but his true identity clouds her feelings.

Carol Strong
Female: 45 - 60
Vocal: Bb3 - A5

Brenda's traditional mother. She is southern strong and the heart of the family.

Roger Strong
Male: 50 - 60
Vocal: A2 - A4

Brenda's conservative father. He is stern and interrogatory, but reveals himself to be deeply romantic.

Audition Guidelines & General Information

Auditionees, you have won our hearts and minds just by reading this audition form! So don't be nervous or hesitant to come join us. We welcome you to come on down and have some fun with us. We cannot wait to see your amazing talents!!

The audition will include:

  1. 32 bars of a contemporary Broadway song which best shows your vocal range, with the option for the music director to ask for more of the song if needed.
    • Do NOT audition with a song from the show.
    • PLEASE bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided.
    • NO impromptu vocal, acapella, or recorded accompaniment PLEASE!
  2. Dance - you will be shown a short routine and asked to perform.


N O T E S

  • Roles open to all races & ethnicities
  • No roles are pre-cast.
  • Auditions will close promptly at times stated.
  • All actors to play age appropriate
  • No AEA (Actors Equity Association)- no actor stipend or subsidy.
  • Headshot: Bring a headshot if you have one. Don't worry if you don't, we'll take an audition photo on audition day.
  • Rehearsals: Generally, rehearsals are Monday through Thursday evenings 7pm - 10pm, and Sundays 6pm - 9pm. Some Saturday rehearsals may also be scheduled. Not everyone needs to attend all rehearsals. After casting, the specific rehearsal dates for each actor (role) will be established.
  • Conflicts: You will have an opportunity at auditions to indicate your conflicts so please bring your personal calendar for the show rehearsal and production window. Click HERE for a copy of the production calendar.
