Audition Guidelines & General Information
- Roles Open to all Races & Ethnicities

- Please prepare 32 measures of music from a song in the spirit of the show.

- You may NOT sing from the show

- PLEASE bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided.

- NO IMPROMPTU VOCAL. NO TAPES, iPods, OR CD's, PLEASE!

- Be prepared to dance and dress accordingly. Bring heeled tap shoes if you have them. No flip-flops, please.

- No roles are pre-cast.

- Auditions will close promptly at times stated.

- All actors to play age appropriate

- No AEA (Actors Equity Association); No actor stipend or subsidy).


NOTES-

- Dance: Do not prepare a dance routine for the audition. You will be shown a short routine and asked to perform. We are primarily looking to see how you move.

- Reading: Do not prepare a monologue for the audition. You may be asked to do a cold reading.

- Headshot: Bring a headshot if you have one. If you don't, we'll take an audition photo.

- Rehearsals: generally Mon. through Thurs. evenings (7pm to 10pm), & Sun. 6pm - 9pm. Some Saturday rehearsals may also be scheduled. Not everyone needs to attend all rehearsals.

- Conflicts: You will have an opportunity at auditions to indicate your conflicts so please bring your personal calendar for December 18, 2011 through March 31, 2012.

MAN IN CHAIR
Musical theatre aficionado who mourns the end of the Golden Era.
Must be comfortable and experienced in improv.
His recording of "The Drowsy Chaperone" brings the show to life as he narrates.

JANET VAN de GRAAF
Star of Feldzig's Follies who wants to give it up for marriage. Token 1920 ingenue.
Must be experienced dancer
